In our April newsletter, we honor Child Abuse Prevention Month and speak to the violent, unjust acts against our fellow APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Community).

During this month, we lift up the importance of family and community wellness that comes from working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. We also spread awareness of the policies and programs that help children and families stay safe and well. Each one of us must do all we can every month of the year to actively foster child, family and community wellness.

The Social Policy Institute also strongly condemns all violence and hatred that devastates our communities. More than ever, we support and promote public policy that fosters equality and social justice for all. Together with many other members of the SDSU community, we have taken the pledge to stand with our fellow APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Community), committing to work for a safe and welcoming climate at the University and in our community.
