Creating Impact by Bridging Academia and Community
The Social Policy Institute (SPI) has a proven track record of successful design and implementation of statewide and countywide training programs, often in the context of an integrated learning system. Building upon the history of leadership, innovation and success as well as the diversity of cultures and populations that make up the vibrant California communities, SPI has become an influential voice and resource for well-being. SPI educates, inspires and collaborates with partners and community stakeholders through shared learning opportunities, training and technical assistance, consultation, research and evaluation.
SPI has deep experience in cross-system collaboration between health and human service systems, education systems, and community systems (inclusive of parent voice) in the County of Ventura specifically, as well as throughout California and nationally. Our work focuses on adaptive leadership for systems transformation to build capacity to provide holistic, quality support to the organizations and communities we serve.
This section of our website showcases some of the impact the SPI team has successfully created since 2014, specifically within our Aging, Prevention, and Behavioral Health focus areas.
