Brenda Bothel-Hammond is the Manager of Age-Friendly Communities who has dedicated the past 20 years to supporting older adults’ ability to age with dignity in San Diego County. She has created and supervised award-winning services which have been replicated throughout the nation.

Most recently, Brenda oversaw an Aging & Wellness Division at a local nonprofit organization, which served over 5,000 older adults per year. She is thrilled to be working with community leaders to create an Age-Friendly San Diego in tandem with the Social Policy Institute team. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, and hiking with family and friends.
