Yvonne Epps
Program Manager
Yvonne is a former Protective Services Worker with in-depth knowledge of the child welfare system. She holds a Master’s in Social Work with a focus on macro practice from Boston University and has been a key contributor at SPI since 2021, leading and supporting a range of initiatives. Currently, Yvonne manages the HOPE at SDSU project, which aims to integrate the Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) framework across the university. She also oversees SPI’s CDDS Service, Access, and Equity Grant through the development of Navigating Change—a program that connects Transition-Aged Youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (TAY-I/DD) and their families to trained Navigators who provide additional support during the transition process.

Yvonne also co-developed and co-trained SPI’s Community Health Worker/Community Care Coordinator training program. Yvonne’s journey has come full circle, as she is also a proud graduate of SDSU’s Undergraduate Social Work program.
